Kenya IV – Nanyuki to Uganda The equator in Nanyuki Dirt roads in Laikipia... ...beautiful and wild! Lots of water from all the rains... ...and not the best road conditions. But lots of wildlife around. Traffic in Laikipia. Rain is coming... ...and we find a roof! Tons of mud the next day... ...nothing works any more. We had to clean the bike for hours. Hard cycling, but beautiful. Mugie Conservancy! Thanks Henry! And mud again! Meeting with the chief of the village... ...and an odd poster on the wall! On the way to Lake Baringo Taking a boat over the lake Kids are watching us... ...and saying goodbye! Beautiful lake with strange dead trees. Amazing evening atmosphere. Hippos watching us. Dead forest in the lake On the way to the rift valley The rift valley... 1000m down on one side... ...and a 1000m up on the other. Hard cycling, but amazing views. Tanya almost at the top... ...and we made it! Iten, the home of lots of marathon champions. Back into the traffic on the way to Uganda. More dangerous than any animal: trucks! Bye bye Kenya! It was very nice!
